Technological innovations will leads to meet the present and future challenges of agriculture sector. Water is one important natural resource, since time immemorial, also acted as catalyst during Green Revolution helped India achieve self-sufficient status in food grain production. Fresh water only 2.6% total resources world has be utilized efficiently. Inspite coverage under irrigation phenomenal growth production from irrigated area, use efficiency remains very low lost conveyance application. Prevalent methods used are primarily based on gravity flow. Surface Irrigation viz., Land configuration, Laser levelling Cablegation can increase save 33% water. Likewise sprinkler drip practices both productivity saving by 70-90%. The modern (sprinkler, micro-sprinkler) becoming increasingly popular with application efficiencies high 90 95% when compared 50 60% conventional methods. Whereas like Pre-irrigation, hydrogel led significant yield levels 36% 27%. At present, area micro-irrigation less large rain fed India. So order higher agricultural productivity, we have shift towards latest innovative traditional irrigation.
